This jigsaw puzzle of funny cartoon cats / kittens was inspired by Melvin, an amazing black and white tuxedo cat I had the pleasure of living with for 17 years. (See pictures below). I think tuxedo cats when they are kittens are the cutest of all furry animals. Melvin was adorable and I loved his wild and free playful romping energy. Now when I visit the local pet store, I love to play with the kittens. Their shenanigans inspire me to create funny cartoon pictures of kittens and cats. I try to capture that playful spirit and infuse it into my cute cat cartoon pictures. It's that feeling of wanting to run up a tree in joy.


	Melvin was an adventurer travelling cat. We were concerned with taking him camping into the wild outdoors of state and national forests and parks, but he taught us a thing or two. He was an incredible traveler cat all across the U.S.. I called him my nature representative. We gave him his very own cat doors, in the VW van, the tent trailer, and later a pop-up camper.

	More about Melvin: He would pick up "friends", as in wild life and bring them by the picnic table at night. In the beginning, we were so afraid something might happen, but the more we trusted, the more we were amazed!

Melvin befriended raccoons and skunks. A ringtail cat and a fox! A snake.(we were so afraid). Melvin sat with the snake in the grass and yawned! He loved chipmunks. (and squirrels, and pikas) He loved watching deer. He sang "chirped" to fireflies. He climbed all kinds of trees, and you should have seen his face as he looked up a redwood! He took us on many hikes, along rivers, beaches, deserts, mountains, canyons. He brought a live mouse to play with into the camper at night. He would tap our heads with his paw to wake us up, or he would bite our toes! Boy did that get us up!
