What is Copyright? What are copyright laws for artwork?
Copyright is a wonderful thing for an artist. It means:
(1) Only I can make copies of my work
(2) Only I can make derivative works based on my art
(3) Only I can sell, rent, lease or distribute my artwork
(4) Only I can display my art in public.
All of these rights together are called exclusive rights (the whole shebang) and they cannot be given away without a written signed contract.
Non-exclusive rights, meaning some rights to use, can be allowed without a written agreement.
And each artist gets to choose individually for each unique expression.

- Images are intended only for personal non-commercial use.
- They are free of cost but not public domain.
- My © Lillyarts.com logo stays with the image when you use it.
- Link Back
- Use applies ONLY to art in the Free Clip Art pages. (All other art is for purchase)
- For use in print other than personal fun use, contact me. (Personal fun means its not to make money).
- None of these cartoons are high resolution images. They work fine for the web or for casual printing. If you would like a high resolution 300 dpi cartoon image for large size quality printing, please contact me. (I charge for use based on how and where)
- Cartoon use in email, or personal website is allowed as long as a clickable link back to this site is in bold and clearly legible at the same spot with the art.
- Personal Website Display is limited to two cartoons maximum per personal website, myspace, facebook, etc. Contact me if you want more. I love to hear from you.
- Even if for non-profit company purposes - please contact before any use.
- Blogs with commercial intent (and/or adsense) publishing a 'topic of the day' may use free art cartoons to promote their topics, again with ©Lillyarts and a clickable link back next to the cartoon. (Let's please keep it clean - I'm PG13)
- Teachers are permitted to use and print enough for a classroom (and I welcome suggestions here of what might be useful for future classes).
- No permission is given for altering, tubes, filters, or derivative works ie,NO CHANGING, ADDING, - contact me for special requests. Kids in school using fruits for their compositions can alter or crop but please send me final copy of finished project.

- You may use the poems in the Jigsaw Puzzle Area, again, for personal fun use or display with clickable link and ©Lillyarts
- All of these rules and laws are basically simplified to say that you cannot make money with my stuff or distribute it to promote your project without contacting me. If you have a financial venture idea, just ask me... maybe we can both benefit. I love it when everyone benefits and feels satisfied.

To copy an image to your computer, first right click the image and then choose (left-click on) "save image as". Voila, now the cartoon is on your computer.

You can use the code below to place a cute tiny clickable picture link of cartoon eyes clipart or musical note clip art.
(You'll just have the picture with no text link. In IE, if the mouse rolls over, it says, 'Hi I'm from Lillyarts. Come see my cartoon animal pictures or come see more cartoon drawings' If someone clicks the little eyes they are taken to my home page.

Just copy the entire two lines and it will place the small cartoon icon on your page with a clickable link back to LillyARTS.com.
